Project 366 : Week 2

11

Here’s week 2 of my project 366! You can track my daily entries at Blipfoto

This week saw new golf clubs, hogging the telephone, the first swimming lesson of the year, resisting the Krispy Kremes at the service station, reading in the dark, a visit from twins and a first go with the chopsticks!

J: So how do they help you see?

————————————————————————————————————————

J: No we just practised old sounds?

Me: Which ones did you do?

J: Just the ones in the alphabet!

Reasons to be Cheerful – Week 2 #R2BC

Reasons to be Cheerful at Mummy from the Heart

There’s no getting over it, since writing my R2BC post last Thursday it’s all been a bit crap! J has shown some shockingly bad behaviour, we had 2 big school birthday parties over the weekend, I had to go to the dentist, SeasiderDad had to go away on a course at the last minute leaving my full week in the office in tatters, I had a long day stuck in the car travelling round new sites for work, I have been so busy and tired that I’ve barely visited another blog this week and when I played golf I had some really bad holes (this may have been the most painful)!

But that of course is the whole reason why I love this linky, because now I get to look past the rubbish and find a few little things that shine. Let’s have a go…

  • We made use of the naughty step – not your traditional reason for being happy I know, but it means that we now have some form of discipline in the house, a few boundaries have been drawn and J is aware of the consequences. Good news all round.
  • I got a thumbs up at the dentist – a much improved report!
  • Having the house to myself at night not only gives me the whole bed to spread out in but also chance to do a bit of exercise at home. This week I have been loving jumping about to Just Dance 3 on the Xbox.
  • The new sites I was visiting for work were in fact golf clubs – every cloud and all that! I’m hoping to return very soon with a boot full of clubs!
  • I have set aside some time this evening to catch up on everyone’s posts, so sorry for being lousy lately.
  • Amongst the bad holes there were of course some good. I have plenty to work on this year!
  • I got sent golf shoes to review this week – that is all kinds of awesome!

Don’t forget that you can still join in with Mich’s anniversary giveaway – details are here, and the usual weekly linky is live too so don’t forget to spread some cheer.

The Gallery – Phone Photos

12

Tara has set this week’s Gallery theme as phone photos. This should be really easy for me as I pretty much take all my photos on my iPhone – but this means that actually I have used all my good ones and favourites in posts already!

Even my blog header was taken on my phone!

I have about 4000 iPhone pictures on my laptop – I should really sort them out.

Some of the ones I take on the move are rubbish, and as my eyesight is really bad I often take several of the same thing just to make sure I get one decent one. The fun is then when you plug it into the laptop and download them all to see what you have got.

You sometimes get a surprise! Here is one of my favourite unplanned shots – I honestly never saw the skylight!

You can’t put it off any longer!

15

Today is the 9th January. If we haven’t finished eating all the Christmas junk now we never will. It is time to put away the chocolates, cheese and biscuits and Irish cream for another year and try and get back in my jeans!

I weighed myself this morning and was ashamed to see that I am at my heaviest (without being pregnant) ever.

Despite this, I am not setting any weight loss goals, I’m not going to worry if I can’t lose the prescribed 2lb a week, I have one target, these:

My beautiful orange Lobster golf trousers, that have never been worn. Currently I can get them half way up my thighs – which really wouldn’t be a good look on the golf course!

The plan is easy – eat a bit less, exercise a bit more. That is all I need to do. Hopefully 10k training will help this a little and by the end of the Summer I’ll be on the tee looking the part as well as ripping up the course!

Bring it on!
