Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot Teapot

I'm sorry, I know this makes me a failure as a woman but before the email hit my inbox asking me to do a review I had never heard of Emma Bridgewater. Don't get me wrong, I love beautiful things, especially in my kitchen, but I'm not one for buying things just because of a name, and I'm clearly not up on in housewares.

Now this Polka Dot Teapot is gorgeous, it's bright and cheery and fits in perfectly with our red walls and orange kettle and toaster. I don't think it would look out of place anywhere.

As far as reviews go, it's a teapot, not too many things that can go wrong. That said it passes with flying colours on my top requirements:

  • It doesn't spill everywhere when I try and pour it
  • It's massive! I can fit plenty in there to keep me going!

The story behind Emma Bridgewater is just as beautiful as the teapot, she designs most of the pottery herself and runs the business with her husband. All the items are hand decorated in their Stoke-On-Trent factory. A real British success story.

The only problem I have with this teapot is the fact that I have now seen there is a whole list of items in the polka dot range, I now absolutely need the wooden spoon jar and a set of mugs!

For now I have everything I need for the perfect cuppa…I just need to find someone to make it for me!

I was sent this teapot for the purpose of this review
