Kids Capture the Colour #KIDSCTC
I was really lucky the other week to spot the chance to get a camera for J as part of Travel Supermarket's capture the colour competition. The idea is that kids get out and get interested in photography and capture colours in their snaps.
J was so excited when his camera arrived and pinched my case and a lanyard to keep it safe, then got to work taking pictures.
Our holiday last week proved to be where he picked out most of the colours and it has taken him a little while to get used to a camera – he is quite happy clicking away with my phone but this has been a bit different.
These are the photos he has picked for each colour:
Come on you yellows! This was his first ever Premier league football match and a blur of the yellow and green of Norwich City. Norwich won so big smiles all round!
So it's not really blue, but as all 6 year olds know the sea is blue! This is a little beach on the coast of Cornwall where we visited last week, it's a bit gloomy but I love that he has captured the wave.
Feeding the farm animals each day was so much fun, there were many many shots taken trying to get this one!
This is Chalky the goat, J's new best friend from Bosinver. He bottle fed him every morning and then took him for a walk on a lead. We had loads of tears when it was time to leave as he didn't want to say goodbye. We had better pictures of white but J was adamant that it had to be Chalky!
His favourite colour and favourite sport. This is a pitch and putt course in Newquay that we visited. He chose this photo because it's a green, that's green! He's a funny boy!
Like everyone with a new camera, there were many photos just like this…
All photos were taken and chosen by J, the only editing has been to crop them. I'm really proud of what he has done
We were sent the camera to participate in the Travel Supermarket challenge
