Gousto Review & Giveaway!
If like me, you get home from work in the evening and don’t even want to think about scraping together a meal from the contents of the fridge the Gousto could be for you. This London-based company gather together all he ingredients and deliver them to your door with easy to follow instructions, you just do the cooking!
We were sent 2 two person meals to try out and all the ingredients arrived at my office parcelled up and still cold – really cold, in fact the icepack was still frozen which I find amazing! The meat all looked of fantastic quality and the only slight issue was that the tomatoes were a bit bruised, no surprise really as they had travelled 100 miles though!
The first recipe we tried was Prawn Masala and the prawns were massive! It didn’t say in the instructions whether to take the shells off or not but I did to save time (and mess) later. I was pleasantly surprised that the timings were so accurate for cooking, in my experience nothing ever takes the time a recipe states! I left out half of the chilli but the result was still too hot for Daddy! I did find it hot but not so much that you couldn’t taste the flavours, however I would tone it down if I made it again! Some naan bread made a great addition to the meal (and a big glass of milk for the more sensitive palates!)

The second dish we sampled was Cumberland Sausage Casserole and again the instructions were so easy to follow. I must confess that I added some more potato – 1 big and 1 very small spud was never going to be enough once mashed! I wasn’t convinced the sausages were going to have had enough cooking time but they had and they were delicious – clearly much better quality sausages than I normally buy!
We both really enjoyed the casserole and it is definitely something we would have again. I was also particularly impressed with my presentation of this dish!

One lucky reader can bag themselves 2 of these delicious two person meals for themselves too, all you need to do is complete the Rafflecopter form below to enter.
Good Luck!

Like the look of the sweet chilli and lime beef with noodles-purely because it’s something I would never make myself because I wouldn’t have the ingredients. These bags would be great once the newborn comes along!
