All white vans are called Olly!

Apparently!

The power of television eh?

Before we were sent the second series DVD of Olly The Little White Van I had honestly not seen the programme at all, but J had an loved it. I have now seen episodes 14 to 26 more than 3 times each and have the theme tune ingrained in my mind! I am always pleasantly surprised that J is still really into programmes like this and hasn’t followed the other kids at school into the realm of Ben 10 and the like.

When I asked him, J’s synopsis of the programme was that it’s all about vehicles that help people, they all have faces and they talk. The best vehicle is Royston – I didn’t even need to ask what kid he is, it was obviously going to be a fire engine!

This is really a charming little programme and the message running through is clear – it’s good to be kind and to always help people. There is nothing to shock or upset children and the little songs are really catchy.

The third series is due to be aired later this year and just to prove the popularity it has gained already a range of toys and games will be released after Easter. The website is full of games for children to play and there is currently a competition running where you can appear in the credits of the show.

If you want 5 minutes peace, you can’t go wrong with a bit of Olly!

I was sent a sample DVD for the purpose of this review. My review is honest and in my own words.
