I’m not sure about you but that song just constantly runs through my head. J absolutely adores Jake and the Never Land Pirates and we seem to have Disney Junior on constantly. There is always great excitement if a new episode (or at least one we haven’t seen) comes on, or desperation if something billed on the planner as Never Land Adventures turns out to be a Tinkerbell episode instead!

Disney have really come up with a great concept with this series and we have been ‘hooked’ (get it?) since it started!

For his birthday back in June, J got Disney Store vouchers and was desperate to go and spend them. When we got there he was gutted that they didn’t stock any Jake products yet – there were actual tears! I promised that as soon as they did we would get him something and so, as his voucher was burning a hole in his pocket we bought Cars 2 toys instead!

On Saturday we had a very brief trip into Norwich and a compulsory visit to the Disney Store, as we wandered around if was interrupted by a shriek of excitement – a noise that I have never heard my child make before!

Mummy – there’s a Jake and Izzy and Cubby and Skully! Looooook!

Sure enough, there was displayed a small selection of Jake items: soft toys, plates and cups and some clothes.

Mummy, you did say that as soon as they had some Jake toys that you would get me some. Can I get this cuddly Jake please?

7 months ago child, how do you remember these things?! We left with Jake, not in a bag, the girl on the checkout removed all the tags for him so he could start his new adventure and come and see his new car, home, bed, Daddy…

 

Thank you so much Disney Store! You can now get these Jake and the Never Land Pirates toys, pirate costumes and also a 2 hour DVD of Jake episodes online too – Finally!
