Review – Groupon Deals
The last year has really seen the rise of the daily deals site – every day I get 6 different emails with deals listed and a few more on a weekly basis. They have become so common place that we even use them at work to advertise our spa deals.
On of the best daily deal sites I have found is Groupon. Not only do they have a huge list of locations to choose from for deals but they also have a big selection of national deals to choose from every day, from household items, to clothing, meals out to experience days – sooner or later something will crop up that captures your attention!
If you have never taken up a Groupon deal, here’s how it works:
- A company will offer a deal & decide how many they want to sell to make it worthwhile
- The deal goes live at midnight and you can buy it at discounts of up to 70%
- Once enough have sold the deal is on and you are guaranteed that price.
- Now shout about it! For every person who buys the deal on your recommendation you get £6 of credit to use!
- You will receive an emailed voucher with your redemption code.
- You can only redeem your voucher after the offer closes – usually at least 24 hours later. Be aware you may need to pay postage costs.
My local site is Norwich and in the last few weeks there have been offers on for hair cuts, comedy nights, hotel stayovers and teeth whitening treatments – to be honest, none of these really appeal to me so I mainly pay attention to the National deals, you can go weeks without seeing something you want, but in the last 4 days I could have bought about 6 different offers! I didn’t, I only bought 2 – a new 6 ft Christmas Tree and a King Size duvet set, in total saving me £94!
If you have never taken any interest before it is well worth signing up to your local deal & the national deals – you will get 2 emails every day, one for each, and you could save yourself some serious money and things you might need (or just can’t live without).

I love Groupon and have e-mails through every day. First thing I do in the morning is check my e-mails and I always look through the Groupon ones first. Saved so much money using that site!
