Review – Faqir
Now please don’t ask me to pronounce the name of this game! In our house we call it “Bed of Nails”. At 4 J is a bit young to play it as it is so it has just been played by myself & Seasider Dad.
Inside the box you get the following:
- Playing board
- 28 Nails
- 24 Faqir cards
- 4 Dressing rooms
- A pouch to hold the cards
- The rules!
The object of the game is to place your nails so that the Faqir cards fit over them – resulting in a scene that looks like the Faqir is bending it’s body around the nails. Sounds simple? It is. The fun bit is that you opponent can see some of the pattern you are trying to make and so can block your attempts to make it.
It becomes a toss up between trying to complete your own pattern and thwarting your husband’s efforts (it does for me anyway!). This is a really good game for all and I would think that anyone from about age 6 upwards would enjoy it. It only takes about 25 minutes to play a round so no chance of getting bored.
J had great fun in just trying to make the patterns – always with the green nails, so he could laugh at the finished pictures!
Faqir from Tactic is currently available to buy from Amazon for £18.28
